CONGRATULATIONS TO THE 2012 BURNOUT CONTEST WINNER!

’69 FORD MUSTANG OUT SMOKES THE REST

Smokin’ tires, spinning wheels, cheering crowds, and smoke, smoke and more smoke!  That’s what the crowds enjoyed on Sunday, September 16 during the Burnout Contest.  There were 15 entries as hundreds in the stands cheered on each one.  In addition to smoke, we even had a moment of fire on the blacktop!  And, the winner in the end was Chris Nohfer of Valencia in his black with flames ’69 Ford Mustang.  Once all of the cars burned their tires for one minute, the judges had them all pull back around and line-up.  One by one the crowds cheered, until the final decision was made.  Nohfer walked away with a $100 Gift Certificate from RockAuto.com, a San Manuel Indian & Casino Poker Chip set and the plaque to hang on his bragging wall.

71 Datsun

A close runner up was the ’71 Datsun owned by Dale Pixley of Mentone.
But all had a smokin’ good time!

Burnout Contestants Slide Show

What is the Burnout Contest?
It doesn't take a lot of power to start the tires smoking, but the longer they smoke, the hotter they get and the better they "Hook up." Contestants rev their engines and allow their tires to spin and burn rubber.  They have one minute to draw the most smoke, make a lot of noise, and get the audience excited!
